FULL POTENTIAL ARTS (FPA)
PROMOTING MENTAL WELL-BEING THROUGH CREATIVITY
Since 1992, Full Potential Arts has been delivering innovative arts outreach workshops and bespoke arts projects in the Midlands, in nurturing environments free from harassment and discrimination. We exist to improve mental well-being, quality of life, social inclusion and social integration through art, as well as challenging the misconceptions associated with mental health problems. We constantly strive to provide accessible local arts opportunities and experiences, for excluded people to gain a range of artistic skills and build confidence in supportive settings.
Example Arts in Mental Health Services provided by FPA:
(1) Open Access Workshops (e.g. Monday Art Club)
(2) Residential and Day Care Workshops
(3) Tailored community involvement projects.
Our commitment to service users’ personal development and the quality of our artists who lead workshops is widely advocated as examples of best practice, and is why our services are repeatedly commissioned by local authorities and healthcare trusts. We contract with a range of talented and diverse artists, all whom have specific experience of teaching arts to individuals with mental health problems.
